The city of Barcelona turned out in style to celebrate FC Barcelona’s 30th Copa del Rey and 25th Liga titles, which together make the eighth domestic double.
From an open-topped bus, the players toured a city centre that was packed with adoring fans waving the colours of FCB and Catalonia.
Some of the more extrovert members of the squad, including Gerard Piqué, Jordi Alba and Luis Suárez, brought plenty of light hearted fun to the festivities.
For others, all this was a new experience, and one of the ‘debutants’, Yerry Mina, was on the receiving end of one of the shocks of the day when a confetti shooter was blasted in his face…

It was an especially poignant day for Andrés Iniesta, whose name was chanted more than any other by the thousands of culés lining the streets. The midfielder has of course announced that he’s leaving the club at the end of the season, and the parade doubled as a farewell to the city. Indeed, the hashtag #infiniti8iniesta was emblazoned on the side of the bus.
It was a doubly big day for Marc-André Ter Stegen too, for today is also his 26th birthday.
It all started at 6.00pm CET in the World Trade Centre down by the sea, and ended just over two hours later when the bus arrived at Plaça Ignasi Barraquer, not far from the Camp Nou stadium
